We are not a repair company and we are not hiring staff. We do not employ technicians, we do not pay technicians, and we do not take a percentage of your work. What FixlyDesk does is find people in Wayne County who need computer help and put their job in front of you, so you can win it and run it as your own business.
There is no wage, no salary, no commission, and no paycheck from us — not now and not later. If you are looking for a job with hours and a rate, this is not that, and it will not become that.
If you already fix computers for a living, or want to, and what you actually need is a steady supply of customers, that is the entire product.
Who pays you
The customer pays you. Directly.
You set your own price. You agree it with the customer. You collect it yourself, at your rate. FixlyDesk never handles your money, never sets your price, and never sends you a payment. You are self-employed and responsible for your own taxes, insurance, tools, and transportation.
What FixlyDesk charges you
$10 when a customer accepts your estimate. That is the whole business model, and it is the only charge that exists.

You only ever pay after a customer has chosen you and you have the work.
The first 50 approved technicians get their first lead free. Apply through the link on this posting and the WELCOME10 code is already filled in for you. Nothing is charged and nothing is credited while your application is being reviewed — but the moment you're approved, $10 of credit is added to your balance, and that covers the fee on your first accepted estimate. Your first won job costs you nothing. This is limited to the first 50 approved technicians and will not be offered again.

FixlyDesk opened technician signups in August 2026. We are deliberately building out our technician base before promoting the platform to customers, because a repair marketplace with only a handful of scattered techs isn't useful to anyone. That means customer job volume will be limited for the first several weeks while we build coverage across Wayne County.
We're telling you this up front rather than letting you find out after you sign up. If you need work today, this isn't that yet. If you want to be established on the platform before demand arrives, now is the right time.
How it works
Customers in your area post what they need fixed.
Those jobs appear on a map in your dashboard.
When you see one you want, you submit an estimate — a price range you set yourself.
The customer reviews estimates from available techs and chooses who to work with.
If they choose you, FixlyDesk charges you $10 and steps out of the way.
You deal with the customer directly, do the work, and collect your money from them.
You choose which jobs to take and which to ignore. There are no scheduled hours, no minimum acceptance rate, and no guaranteed volume.
Typical jobs
Desktop and laptop repair, virus and malware removal, OS reinstalls and upgrades, hardware replacement, data recovery and transfer, home Wi-Fi and network setup, printer and peripheral setup, smart TV and device configuration, small business workstation help.
What you need
Demonstrable experience repairing consumer or small business computers
Your own tools and reliable transportation
A smartphone
Ability to communicate professionally with customers directly and quote your own work
Willingness to complete identity verification during approval
Formal certifications are not required. Shop experience, freelance history, or a solid self-taught background all count.
