Like most people, I've needed extra income to help make ends meet from time to time. Providing for my family has always been my top priority. After my regular work hours, I'd look for ways to bring in some side income — picking up small IT jobs here and there, usually for people who already knew me.
I looked for a platform where I could pick up everyday IT work, not projects — just regular people with regular problems who needed a hand. I couldn't find anything like that, so the idea took shape: build a site where people could post what they needed, and I could pick it up directly. From there, it grew into something bigger. I realized there were probably others like me — people with real IT skills who weren't necessarily certified professionals, but were capable and tech-savvy enough to put those skills to use. That's how FixlyDesk came to be.
