🛠️ Patch Notes — September 1, 2026
🛠️ TechnicalSep 1, 2026
Badge changes, a new way for technicians to join, and referral links you can share for a specific role.
Added
- A new application form for joining FixlyDesk. No account is created when you apply. If you are approved, your account is created then and you receive an email to set your password.
- Finish on your phone. Applying from a computer with no camera? Save your progress and complete the photo step on a phone — everything you have already filled in is carried over.
- Refer someone to a specific role. Open any listing on the Careers page while signed in and you will find your personal referral link for that role. Anyone applying through it lands on that posting with your code already attached, and you are credited if they are approved.
Changed
- The Pro badge is now ✓ Certified. Verified credentials show as a green badge beside your tier badge rather than being folded into the tier name. Your tier reflects your track record here; Certified reflects qualifications we have checked, and can be earned at any tier — including on your first day. How you earn it is unchanged: upload a credential, and it appears once staff approve it.
- Links in our emails now stay on fixlydesk.com. Password reset and account emails previously sent you to a link on a different domain. If you ever receive an email claiming to be from us that sends you somewhere else, treat it as suspicious.
- Phone numbers format as you type, so a number typed any reasonable way is accepted.
Fixed
- Five suggested services could not be added to your profile. The entries containing brackets — “Point of Sale (POS) System Setup” and similar — were rejected when clicked. They add normally now.
- The application form no longer shifts down the moment the camera turns on.
- Long file names are shortened on screen instead of stretching the page. The file itself is untouched.
- The password screen no longer says “Set New Password” after you have just set one.
